Gastric issues

It's time to say goodbye to your gastric problems with the natural healing power of Ayurveda

Food is the key fuel for the human body and the stomach is one of the most significant organs for your holistic well-being and happiness. An effective digestive system develops healthy tissues (Dhatus) that contribute to the creation of Ojas- the essence of good health and immunity.

In Ayurveda, weak digestion is called Agnimandya, which blocks the transformation of rasa (nutrients) into life-sustaining Ojas. Apart from being the causative factor of many diseases, weak digestion is a major health issue in itself. One of the main reasons for gastric diseases is unhealthy eating and drinking habits

Diseases we manage

Hyper Acidity

Regular consumption of processed, oily and spicy foods is one of the key reasons for hyperacidity. The after-effect of indisciplined consumption is often miserable as the digestive system takes a long time to digest spicy and starchy food, resulting in acidity and fermentation.

Gastritis

It causes inflammation, irritation and erosion in the mucosal layer of the stomach that may cause ulcers, constipation and indigestion. Before it becomes a chronic issue, it must be addressed with a proper diet accompanied by rejuvenating treatments offered by Ayurveda.

Fatty Liver

Obesity is an illness that gives rise to several chronic diseases. Fatty liver is one such disease wherein the liver is surrounded by an extreme amount of fat. It occurs due to irregular food habits, oily foods with zero fiber and drinking less water. Liver detox, lifestyle modifications, and exercise can treat this condition to a significant extent.

Ulcerative colitis

It is a chronic bowel disease wherein ulcers and inflammation are caused in the large intestine. Severe pain in the lower abdomen and bloating are some of the common symptoms of ulcerative colitis that restrict the sufferer from performing daily activities. This calls for close monitoring of a unique diet and other holistic treatments besides pranayama and yoga based on the severity of the condition.

Constipation

Difficulty during defecation is known as constipation which occurs due to the absorption of excess water from the food by the colon. In this issue, the food passes through the digestive tract very slowly, thereby more absorption of water from food by the colon, which makes the feces dry and hard. Nidana Parivarjana (treating the causative factor) is the first line of treatment in Ayurveda.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

IBS is a disorder of the small intestine, featured by pain, discomfort along with altered bowel habits. From the perspective of Ayurveda, it is linked to excessive food intake or excessive fasting, eating unwholesome food, continuous diarrhoea, constant travel and many more. Panchakarma, special herbs, lifestyle modifications etc. can treat this issue.
